January 19, 2011 Airports Authority of India has identified a 3,000 acre site of land at the airport at Bhaini Maharajpur and Bhaini Bhairon to be used as a air cargo center. The new facility will provide shippers the ability to process over 200 tonnes of cargo per day. The airport is competing with Delhi airport after the withdrawal of Air India cargo flights.
