WIND Air Cargo Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Changi Airport Group (CAG) have announced that they will be developing a state of the art air cargo facility in Singapore. The new 80,000 square metrer facility is said to allow AECs to shorten the processing time for time-sensitive shipments to achieve greater efficiency and speed in transporting express cargo Excerpt- “Under the Changi Airport Masterplan, CAAS has allocated about 80,000 square metres of land for the development of” the ACE Hub and its supporting airside infrastructure. CAG will manage the development and operations of the new facility, which is scheduled to be operational in the first half of 2012.”
